The Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia was established in 1990. Pursuant to Presidential Decree of 12th April 1993, the Department title and discipline are specified as follows: International Relations, International and European Economics, Political Science and Diplomacy, Institutions of the European Communities, the European Union and International Organisations.

The Department Study Program leads to two specializations:

A)Political Studies and Diplomacy
B) International and European Economic Studies

The Department awards a single uniform Degree.

The specialization is selected during the fall semester of the third year. At the beginning of the 6th semester, students submit the specialization of their choice to the Department Secretariat in writing.
