Research Interests
Her research interests focus on power relations and political economy, politics of religion (Islam), ethnic minorities and gender identity politics, social movements. She is currently working on state culture issue, focusing on governmentality and citizenship experiences. She has  conducted ethnographic fieldwork in Greece, Turkey (Istanbul) and the Middle East (The Sultanate of Oman) and she produced a number of ethnographic documentaries.
