Σειρά Ανοιχτών Διαλέξεων στη διεθνή πολιτική θεωρία

Τα Politics First είναι μια σειρά ανοιχτών διαλέξεων στη διεθνή πολιτική θεωρία του Τμήματος Βαλκανικών, Σλαβικών και Ανατολικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονίας. Οι διαλέξεις PF είναι ανοιχτές και δωρεάν για όλους, και απευθύνονται σε ένα ευρύτερο ακροατήριο πέραν του ιδρύματος. Διοργανώνονται σε εβδομαδιαία βάση με διαλέξεις των συντονιστών και διακεκριμένων καλεσμένων ομιλητών.

Ο τίτλος της σειράς (Politics First) υπονοεί μια έμφαση στην αυτονομία της πολιτικής και άρνηση ανάγνωσής της με οικονομικούς όρους.

Οι Διαλέξεις PF δεν είναι μέρος του προγράμματος σπουδών και εκτείνονται πέραν των προγραμματισμένων διδακτικών / μαθησιακών υποχρεώσεων. Οι συμμετέχοντες φοιτητές ευνοούνται ιδιαίτερα, ωστόσο, καθώς εξοικειώνονται με τις πιο πρόσφατες θεωρητικές προσεγγίσεις της διεθνούς πολιτικής, που διδάσκονται στο μάθημα της Θεωρίας των Διεθνών Σχέσεων.

Η θεματική κάθε διάλεξης είναι μοναδική και δεν επαναλαμβάνεται. Οι Διαλέξεις PF δεν μαγνητοσκοπούνται ούτε διατίθενται στο διαδίκτυο. Ο εκπαιδευτικός στόχος είναι να φέρουν φοιτητές και απλό κοινό πίσω στο πανεπιστήμιο, να βασίσουν τη μαθησιακή διαδικασία στη ζωντανή συζήτηση και κριτική διάδραση, και να την αποσυνδέσουν από κάθε μορφής συμβατική ανταπόδοση, ανταμοιβή ή υποχρέωση (π.χ. βεβαιώσεις παρακολούθησης, παρουσιολόγια κτλ.)

Τα Politics First έχουν τη δική τους σελίδα στο Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/Politics.First.UOM/), αναρτώντας τακτικά στην αγγλική τις αφίσες των διαλέξεων, σημαντικές ανακοινώσεις, πολιτικούς σχολιασμούς, επιλεγμένα άρθρα από τον διεθνή τύπο κτλ. Η επισκεψιμότητα της σελίδας είναι υψηλή και διεθνής, προσελκύοντας περισσότερους από 1.700 ακολούθους και ‘likes’ από όλον τον κόσμο (εκτός των Βόρεια Κορέα, Τατζικιστάν και Περού, ως τώρα).
