Covid-19: Protect yourself and others

Covid-19: Protect yourself and others

The UoM remains committed to the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff. Everyone has an important role to play in preventing the spread of the coronavirus.  There are many simple steps everyone can take to keep themselves and others healthy. These include the following.

Health Monitoring and University Protocol

Stay at home and consult your physician and the National Public Health Organization (NPHO) if you develop symptoms of illness, especially cough, shortness of breath, fever, severe fatigue, gastrointestinal issues, loss of taste or smell, or muscle aches. Be sure to tell them your symptoms and inform if you believe or suspect you have been in contact with COVID-19 case. Even fully vaccinated individuals have some risk of contracting the virus.

It is very important to immediately notify the appointed Case Manager according to The University of Macedonia Covid-19 Case Guidelines

Use Masks

Masks are required for both vaccinated and non-vaccinated individuals when inside the UoM building, including classrooms, the library, labs, all common areas as well as administrative areas.

Practice Good Hand Hygiene

Frequent hand-washing is a simple and effective health practice. Use the installed hand sanitizer stations throughout the building. Avoid touching your face, especially before washing your hands and after touching surfaces.

Social Distancing

We continue to recommend maintaining a safe social distance and avoid crowds whenever possible.

Our main goal will always be the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff, so that you can continue to work toward your learning goals.
