Oboe Recital - Hellenic Repertoire
On June 23, 2022, at 3 pm, in the Ceremonial Hall of the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, it will be premiered the "Adagio e Rondo" by Josef Vizthum. The particular work is of particular historical importance in the Greek musical repertoire for oboe, as it is the oldest work for oboe and piano related to the newly formed Greek state (dedicated to King George I). It came to the surface during a Ph.D. research under the supervision of Dr. Konstantinos Hassiotis. Furthermore, it will be presented two works for oboe and piano by Greek composers: D. Terzakis and V. Tenidis. There will be short introductory speeches by the Ph.D. candidate Christos Tsogias-Razakov.
