Student Networking Event

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, The University of Macedonia hosted a student networking event engaging students from Princeton University and the University of Macedonia. Students from the University of Macedonia welcomed a group of nine students from Princeton University, who are currently doing their internship in Thessaloniki, within the framework of Princeton University's international mobility program. Students from both Universities had the opportunity to present examples of extracurricular activities offered at their Universities, contributing significantly to the development of their personal and social skills. Professor Alexandros Chatzigeorgiou, Vice Rector of Extroversion and International Relations of the University of Macedonia, addressed the attendees and highlighted the importance of student networking events for sharing views, promoting dialogue and exploring future prospects of cooperation. Dr. Nikos Michailidis and Dr. Vicky Chiourea, heads of Empiria Learning - Internships and Academic Programs in the Mediterranean, host organization of the group of students from Princeton University in Thessaloniki, expressed their view that this event will serve as the starting point for future cooperation endeavors, allowing for interaction and networking between students from the two Universities.
