This year’s conference will host 300 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the majority of Greek universities, as well as from higher education institutions abroad.

 

During the opening ceremony of the Conference, on April 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Ceremonial Hall of the University of Macedonia, Ambassador Michail-Christos Diamessis, Director of the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy, will be honored in recognition of his contribution to the promotion of international cooperation and the international presence of Greece.

 

Model United Nations simulations are widespread in many countries, while in Greece they have become an established institution at the University of Macedonia since 2002, enjoying the support of professors of International Law and International Institutions from universities across the country. This year marks the 23rd edition of the conference, consistently supported by the Rectorate Authorities of the University of Macedonia and the Aegeas Non-Profit Civil Company for Cultural and Public Benefit Work. Furthermore, this year’s event is strengthened by the support of the Anatolia American University, A. Chatzopoulos S.A., MAKVEL, Plano2 Consulting, and the UNESCO Youth Club of Thessaloniki.
