Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679, we wish to provide you the conditions applied to the collection and processing of your personal data, when you enroll in the Alumni Registry of the University of Macedonia.

1. Your personal data are collected, stored and processed by the University of Macedonia (156 Egnatia Street, GR-546 36 Thessaloniki, Greece).

2. Which personal data do we collect?

Your personal data are those you fill in the online registration form when you enroll in the Alumni Registry.

3. Why and how do we process your personal data?

  • To inform you about services and actions of the University of Macedonia concerning the graduates of the University of Macedonia, and
  • For anonymized analyzes that will be conducted by the University of Macedonia in order to improve educational and other support services.

4. On what legal ground(s) do we process your personal data?

The data subject has consented to the processing of their personal data when submitting the online registration form to the Alumni Registry, for the purposes stated therein (art. 6 par. 1 para. a' GDPR).

5. How long do we keep your personal data?

The University of Macedonia keeps your personal data for the entire duration imposed by the purpose of the processing, which is set at ten (10) years. In the event that it becomes necessary to keep them further for statistical purposes, the data processor undertakes to anonymize them.

6. Who has access to your personal data

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties without your prior information and express consent.

7. What are your rights and how can you exercise them?

You have the right to: i) obtain access to your personal data; ii) ask for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete personal data to be corrected; iii) request that your personal data be erased; iv) request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in specific cases; v) receive your personal data and send it to another controller (‘data portability’) and v) withdraw your consent at any time.
