Description:

The Laboratory of International Politics and Legal Studies (POLIS) facilitates educational and research needs of the Department of Balkans, Studies & Oriental Studies and particularly in the following fields:

- Politics Science,

- Comparative Politics,

- Governance,

- European Integration,

- EU institutions and Law,

- Public International Law,

- Human Rights, Immigration and Minorities,

- International Relations,

- International Political Theory

 

 

Objective:

The Laboratory of International Politics and Legal Studies (POLIS) aims at:

- Meeting the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research needs of the Department of Balkans, Studies & Oriental Studies as well as those of other Departments of the University of Macedonia in subjects falling within its scope of activities.

- Establishing all types of collaboration with other academic institutes, institutions and research centers within Greece or abroad, on condition that their scientific objectives coincide, relate to and complement those of the Laboratory.

- Organizing scientific workshops, lectures, seminars, symposiums, conferences and other scientific events as well as producing publications and inviting Greek and internationally distinguished scientists.

- Disseminating of knowledge through the publication of collective volumes, monographs, scientific articles, scientific journals and journals and any form of paper or electronic publication of scientific opinions and research findings.
