The Department of Statistics, Computerization and Informatics (Computer and Networking Center) of the University of Macedonia supports all core functions of the University. Its purpose is both to ensure the proper functioning of Information and Communication Technologies and to meet the needs of computer users and university web services.

 In particular, the Department of Statistics, Computerization and Informatics has undertaken the continuous monitoring and support of the University's needs in hardware and software and the supervision of the operation of the telecommunications network. It is also responsible for securing the University's access to the Internet and for its cooperation with the Greek Universities Network (GUNet) in order to benefit from its services.

 Today, the Department of Statistics, Computerization and Informatics comprises 5 Offices with diversified scope of work, but with a central reference point, the Help Desk, and a common partnership to meet the needs of the users.

 The Research, development and learning of new technologies by the staff of the Department of Statistics, Computerization and Informatics are necessary prerequisites for the proper and complete provision of its services to the users. Also, the staff of the Department of Statistics, Computerization and Informatics are invited to follow technological developments and collaborate with Academic and external bodies, such as other Academic and Technological Institutes, companies etc.
