Instructions for freshmen


Below we present the first few steps that students of the Department of Accounting and Finance need to follow after being accepted by our department.

FIRST STEP - STUDENT REGISTRATION NUMBER AND STUDENT E-MAIL

After registering with the Accounting and Finance Department using the Data Certification Form, you will obtain your Registration Number in the form of fin ……, and will have your student e-mail of the form of fin……@uom.edu.gr. The registration number is necessary for all academic interactions with the Faculty and the University services.
Advice: For questions related to each module, you may contact the respective instructor during teaching, or contact him/her via e-mail.

The Department Administration will regularly make important announcements about individual modules, the programme of studies, the schedule and other University-related issues, through the website of the Department https://www.uom.gr/fin, through the Students Web platform, or through your student e-mail fin………@uom.edu .gr. That is why we strongly recommend you check your emails regularly.

 

SECOND STEP - ISSUANCE OF STUDENT IDENTITY / STUDENT “PASSPORT”

To issue your student ID-passport, please visit the webpage: https://submit-academicid.minedu.gov.gr and follow the instructions given.
Attention: The photo that you will upload must be according to the Police Identity requirements. Otherwise we will not be able to issue your student ID. The Administration, after checking your application, it will approve it. The provider you have chosen will issue your ID and inform you of its receipt. In case of loss, inform us with an official declaration, stamped according to law requirements for signature authentication.
Important: At the field “residence” you should fill in the address of your permanent residence in order to be entitled with local transportation discounts.

 

THIRD STEP - ATTENDANCE OF COURSES

Teaching for the 1st Semester will be carried out through distance learning using the ZOOM platform. To connect to the “digital amphitheatre” follow the link: https://zoom.us/j/94774987681 (Meeting ID: 947 7498 7681) (except for the courses where a different link is provided in the timetable). For all academic topics such related to teaching and resources / handouts, you should contact the course instructors electronically. To find the email addresses of staff use the following link https://www.uom.gr/fin , and then click at “Staff”.

Advice: For questions related to each module, you may contact the respective instructor during teaching, or contact him/her via e-mail.

To find the timetable, follow the link https://www.uom.gr/fin , then “Students” and “Timetable”.

Advice: Please check the Department's website regularly as any changes to the timetable will be displayed there.

For technical issues that arise during the attendance of the courses, please do not contact the Adminstration, but do contact Mr. Apostolos Patakas, tel .: 2310891667, e-mail: apatak@uom.edu.gr or Mr. Karatzidis Stratos, tel .: 2310891687, E-mail: kstratos@uom.edu.gr, who are the Department’s Special Technical Laboratory Staff (ETEP).

 

FOURTH STEP - COURSE ENROLLMENT

You will also need to enrol for each course that you follow for each of the first two semesters (ie the first year of your studies - 2020-2021) at the Administration of the Department.

 

FIFTH STEP – BOOKS ORDERS

The book orders are made through the application: https://eudoxus.gr on specific dates set by "EYDOXOS". There will be an announcement from the Administration.
Attention: You can only order the books related to modules of your semester, always paying attention to the deadlines, which are set by 'EUDOXOS. After the placing your order, you will receive from 'EYDOXOS' an e-mail or text message in your mobile, the PIN that you will need to use to obtain a physical copy of each book from the pre-specified distribution points.
Attention: In case you did not receive your books on the predetermined dates, you will lose the right to receive them overall.

 

STEP SIX – OBTAINING CERTIFICATES

You can request a certificate of your current status as a student either through the STUDENTS' WEB service by emailing the Administrative team of Department at finsecr@uom.edu.gr. In doing so, you will need to specify the intended use, e.g. for military use, for foreign authorities etc. The certificate will be sent to you electronically at your student e-mail.

 

SEVENTH STEP - COMMUNICATION WITH ADMINISTRATION TEAM DEPARTMENT

The Department Administration Team will be always there for you for the duration of your studies, but also after you graduate.
Please contact the Department Administration as follows: electronically at any time to submit your queries and requests, by phone from Monday - Friday, during the hours: 07: 30-16: 00, and in person, by appointment and observing all the necessary measures to avoid the spread of coronavirus - COVID 19, as determined by EODY (use of mask, keeping distance, etc).
