Welcome to the website of the Master of Science in Sciences of Education and Lifelong Learning: Educational Administration and Leadership (old title: Master of Science Administration and Leadership in Sciences of Education and Lifelong Learning) of the Department of Education and Social Policy of the University of Macedonia, which will start in the academic year 2019-2020.
The Master of Science in Sciences of Education and Lifelong Learning: Educational Administration and Leadership is a response to the urgent need for updating scientific knowledge, developing appropriate skills, professional upgrading of education staff and, more broadly, of all existing and future teachers in the public and private sector, primary and secondary education in particular, as well as the operation of public and private educational organizations and institutions of lifelong learning and adult education. At the same time, the Programme offers the opportunity to participate and work in conducting educational research, in the study and elaboration of educational programmes, as well as in the development and implementation of educational policies and practices focusing on the administration and organisation of education and the exercise of educational leadership. Our graduates, equipped with the knowledge and skills they will have acquired upon completion of their studies, will be able to respond successfully to the contemporary demands and challenges of the exercise of management and leadership, being aware of both the presuppositions of the discipline and the stakes and the demands of the contemporary national, European and global educational environment.
