    Το μάθημα εστιάζεται στο οικονομικό περιβάλλον της Κ., ΑΝ. και ΝΑ Ευρώπης μετά την κατάρρευση του κεντρικού σχεδιασμένου σοσιαλισμού. Θα εξεταστούν η μετάβαση των χωρών της Κ., ΑΝ. και ΝΑ Ευρώπης στην οικονομία της αγοράς και οι αρνητικές συνθήκες της μετάβασης, η κατάρρευση της ΚΟΜΕΚΟΝ και του διεθνούς εμπορίου, Ιδιωτικοποιήσεις, Άμεσες Ξένες Επενδύσεις, Παγκοσμιοποίηση. Θα γίνει σύνδεση των οικονομιών της Κ., ΑΝ. και ΝΑ Ευρώπης με την θεωρία της διεθνής οικονομικής ανάπτυξης της Συναίνεση της Ουάσιγκτον και την εφαρμογή της θεραπείας σοκ.
