1.What is the duration of the program?

The minimum duration of the program is three (3) semesters, while the maximum duration is six (6) semesters.

 

2.What is the application period for New Graduates?

The Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Business Administration, designed for New Graduates, has the following deadlines for submitting applications and supporting documents:

Application Submission: May to mid-July

Program Start: Every October

Tuition Fee: €4,500 (payment in 5 installments)

Course Instruction: Monday to Thursday 17:00 - 22:00

Physical presence in classes is mandatory.

 

3.What is the application period for Business Executives?

The Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Business Administration, designed for Business Executives, has the following deadlines for submitting applications and supporting documents:

Application Submission: September to mid-November

Program Start: Every February

Tuition Fee: €5,000 (payment in 5 installments)

Course Instruction: Friday 17:00 - 22:00 and Saturday 09:00 - 17:00

In case the schedule cannot be arranged on designated days (Friday and Saturday), classes may also be held on Wednesday afternoons.

Physical presence in classes is mandatory.

 

4.What is the cost of the program for New Graduates, and how are the tuition fees paid?

To support the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Business Administration (program for New Graduates), a fee of €4,500 must be paid as tuition fees. The payment is divided into installments as follows:

1st Semester => 1st Installment: €1,000, 2nd Installment: €1,000.

2nd Semester => 1st Installment: €1,000, 2nd Installment: €1,000.

3rd Semester => 1st Installment: €500.

The 1st installment is paid upon registration or during the 1st week of each semester, and the 2nd installment is paid during the 7th week of each semester.

There is the possibility of tuition fee exemption according to current legislation and funding from the OAED LAEK program.

 

5.What is the cost of the program for Business Executives, and how are the tuition fees paid?

To support the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Business Administration (program for Business Executives), a fee of €5,000 must be paid as tuition fees. The payment is divided into installments as follows:

6.When do classes start?

Classes start twice a year:

In October, classes for the MBA program for New Graduates begin, with course instruction from Monday to Thursday, 17:00 - 22:00.

In February, classes for the MBA program for Business Executives begin, with course instruction on Friday, 17:00 - 22:00, and Saturday, 09:00 - 17:00.

 

7.Is my attendance at classes mandatory?

Attendance at lectures is mandatory for all courses. However, you are entitled to up to 3 absences in each course, whether justified or not.

 

8.Which program can I apply for?

If you have more than 25 months of work experience, you can apply for the MBA for Business Executives, which starts every February.

If you have just obtained your degree and have no work experience, you can only apply for the MBA for New Graduates, which starts every October.

 

9.What is the admission procedure?

Applicants must submit all required documents by the application deadline. The evaluation process consists of three phases.

The first phase is preliminary. Advancement to the second phase requires the submission of all necessary documents according to the announcement. Evaluation criteria for the second phase differ between MBA candidates for Recent Graduates and those for Business Executives. The Program Studies Committee, in collaboration with the Candidate Evaluation Committee, assesses and selects candidates based on second-phase criteria. Successful candidates proceed to the third phase (interview).

 

10.What are the criteria for the second phase?

For the MBA for Recent Graduates, evaluation criteria include:

Overall grade of the undergraduate degree (weight factor 40%).

Additional factors: GMAT scores, other degrees or postgraduate qualifications, proficiency in additional languages, scientific publications, and distinctions (weight factor 30%).

Recognized professional experience (weight factor 10%).

The total weight factor in the second phase is 80%.

For the MBA for Business Executives, the evaluation criteria are:

Overall grade of the undergraduate degree  (weight factor 35%).

Professional experience, validated by certificates or public insurance certificates (weight factor 35%).

Additional qualifications: specific seminars, IT skills, courses at foreign universities, publications, studies, postgraduate title, supplementary education degrees, awards (weight factor 15%).

The total weight factor in the second phase is 85%.

 

11. Application Deadline:

Applications are accepted only during the announcement period.

For MBA for Recent Graduates: from May to mid-July.

For MBA for Business Executives: from September to mid-November.

 

12. Where Can I Find the Application Form and Recommendation Letter Template?

You can find the printable application under each respective announcement, while the recommendation letter template is available in the "Forms for Candidates" menu.

 

13. Required Documents for My Application:

For MBA for Recent Graduates:

Application (download from the provided link). The application is initially completed and submitted electronically. After printing and signing, it must be submitted to the Secretariat along with other required documents.

  • Detailed Curriculum Vitae.
  • Copy of undergraduate degree/diploma.
  • Certified transcript with the exact GPA.
  • Two recommendation letters, preferably from faculty members.
  • Certified proof of English language proficiency at level B2 or higher, as per the Council of Europe, accepted by ASEP.
  • Photocopy of the identity card.
  • Additional documents (if applicable).

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS (if available):

  • GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) results should be sent directly to the MBA Secretariat by GMAC. The program code is RNW-9R-66.
  • Certificates of other qualifications, additional degrees or postgraduate titles, proficiency in additional languages.
  • Scientific publications and distinctions.
  • Proof of professional experience, validated by certificates or official (public) insurance documents.

 

14. Required Documents for Your Application to the MBA for Business Executives:

  1. Application: (Download from the relevant link). The application is completed and submitted online. Afterward, it must be printed, signed, and submitted to the Secretariat along with other supporting documents.
  2. Detailed Curriculum Vitae.
  3. Copy of Undergraduate Degree/Diploma:
  • If the degree was awarded by a foreign institution, requirements include:
  • Inclusion of the institution in the list of foreign institutions maintained by DOATAP.
  • Recognition of academic qualifications in accordance with relevant legislation.
  1. Official transcript with Exact Grade Point Average (GPA).
  2. Two Recommendation Letters:
  • At least one should come from the professional workplace. Recommendation letters from relatives within the 1st and 2nd degree are not accepted.
  1. Certified Proof of English Language Proficiency (Level B2 or higher):

According to the Council of Europe standards, accepted by ASEP Must be presented in a legible copy, previously certified by a lawyer or as a certified copy.

  1. Proof of Professional Experience:
  • Certificates or official insurance documents. A minimum of 25 months of experience as a business executive is required.
  1. Certificate from the Company or Organization:
  • Providing a detailed description of the responsibilities in the administrative position(s) held by the candidate.
  1. Additional Qualifications:
  • (Specialized seminars, computer skills, courses at foreign universities, publications, studies, postgraduate degrees, supplementary education degrees, awards, participation in scientific conferences).
  1. Photocopy of the National Identity Card.

16. How important is work experience? How will it affect my admission to the program?

The MBA program accepts graduates from all universities and technical colleges, creating classes with diverse student backgrounds. Students share their knowledge and professional experiences, learning to work in teams and collaborate on assigned tasks. Work experience has a weight in the evaluation, ranging from 10% to 30%, depending on the type of work and will have an impact on your admission to the program.

 

17. I have no work experience. How will this affect my admission to the program?

For the MBA for Recent Graduates, we accept graduates from all universities and technical colleges. Work experience has a very small weight (10%) in your evaluation. However, even a small professional experience can positively influence your application.

 

18. Are there any specific skills required for the program?

It is desirable for postgraduate students to have basic knowledge of mathematics and good computer handling skills.

 

19. Is there a possibility of funding from the OAED's LAEK program?

If you are employed, and your employer agrees to finance your studies through the LAEK program of OAED, this option is available, provided you are accepted and enrolled in the program.

 

20. Is there a possibility of exemption from Tuition Fees?

Students enrolled in Postgraduate Programs may qualify for tuition fee exemption based on financial or social criteria.

To be eligible for free enrollment due to financial or social factors, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree with a grade equal to or exceeding 7.5 out of 10 during their undergraduate studies.

Subsequently, individual income, assuming they have the same income and the family available equivalent income does not independently exceed 100% and 70% of the national median disposable income, respectively, according to the most recent data published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority.

Exempted students should not exceed 30% of the total number of students admitted to the Postgraduate Program (Government Gazette N.4957/2022).

 

21. How can I apply for full exemption from Tuition Fees?

Applications for free enrollment in each class are submitted after the completion of the student admission process to the program. Ensure all required documents are submitted by the application deadline.

The evaluation of applications occurs in three phases:

  1. Phase 1: First, you will submit the Application for Admission to the Program.
  2. Phase 2: Verification of completeness and examination of all required documents according to the announcement.
  3. Phase 3: Interview.

Once you successfully pass all stages, you will be invited to enroll in the program. Only then, along with your enrollment application, you will submit the Tuition Fees Exemption Application along with all the required documents specified by law.

 

22. Excellence Awards - "E.B.E.Th." Distinction Award Institution:

We would like to inform you that starting from the academic year 2013-2014, the prestigious "E.B.E.Th. Excellence Award" program has been established by the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Administrative Committee of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry annually approves the conferment of three (3) "E.B.E.Th. Excellence Awards," equivalent to the total tuition fees for one academic year of the program for New Graduates, totaling €4,500.

These awards are bestowed upon students at the conclusion of their studies, following the successful completion of all three semesters of a given class. The selection is based on the grade point averages of the graduates in the Recent Graduates cycle.

Specifically:

  1. The first (1st) award is granted to the student with the highest grade, amounting to €2,500.
  2. The second (2nd) award is granted to the student with the second-highest grade, amounting to €1,000.
  3. The third (3rd) award is granted to the student with the third-highest grade, , amounting to €1,000.

The three Excellence Awards E.B.E.Th. are conferred at the end of each New Graduates cycle during the graduation ceremony, typically held in late March or early April each year.

It is important to note that these awards are solely based on academic criteria, specifically performance, irrespective of any program scholarships or exemptions from tuition fees. Eligibility requires students to have successfully passed their exams during the official examination period of each semester.

 

23. Scholarships (Tuition Fee Reduction): 

The Study Program Committee of the Master in Business Administration approves the granting of scholarships with a tuition fee reduction for each semester as follows:

  • For the 1st semester, scholarships are awarded based on the ranking during admission to the program.
  • For the 2nd and 3rd semesters, scholarships are awarded based on the grade point average (performance) of the previous semester.

It should be noted that scholarship recipients should not be receiving a scholarship or financial aid from any other public or private entity during the current semester and must have successfully passed all courses on their first attempt.

24. Is it possible to reissue a certificate/degree after graduation? 

Yes, it is possible to reissue a certificate or copy of the diploma upon request from the graduate. The reissuance fee for the certificate or copy of the diploma and other related documents after the graduation ceremony is €5 per copy. This fee can be deposited into the following bank account:

The deposit should include the following mandatory details:

  • The graduate's full name.
  • The master program to which they belong (e.g., Business Administration MBA).

 Any bank commission fees are the sole responsibility of the graduate.
