INTERDISCIPLINARY  POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM

Since March 2017 at the University of Macedonia, has been operating the first Greek Inter-University Postgraduate Program entitled "Law and Informatics". It is co-organized by the Department of Applied Informatics of University of Macedonia and by the Faculty of Law of the Democritus University of Thrace. The duration of the program is three semesters and has a total tuition fee of 3.000 euros.
The program includes courses in Law and Informatics in the first semester (depending on the scientific origin of each student), while at the second semester are analyzed modern interdisciplinary topics such as personal data protection, electronic crime, e-commerce, copyright, security (technological and legal aspect), digital entrepreneurship and innovation, the economic dimension of the Information Society, eGovernment and information systems in various fields, justification, telecommunications and related legal issues. Since Information Technology  has penetrated into all areas of economic and social life, both private and public, the deeper knowledge of the legal framework in which it has to operate and evolve, is a very useful scientific and professional expertise.
