The purpose of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) of the University of Macedonia is to achieve high quality in the operation of the Institution and the continuous improvement of its educational and research work, as well as the effective operation and performance of its services, in accordance with international practices, especially those of the European Higher Education Area and the principles and guidelines of HAHE (Hellenic Authority Higher Education).

The scope of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) is the implementation of quality assurance in the academic units, administrative services and people of the Institution. In particular, this includes the academic certification of the Study Programs of the University of Macedonia and the certification of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS).
