The University of Macedonia, as a Higher Education Institution, is a Legal Entity under Public Law with full autonomy, as explicitly stated in Article 16 of the Constitution. It is supervised and funded by the state through the Ministry of National Education, Research, and Religious Affairs.

The mission of the Administrative and other Services of the University of Macedonia is to: a) Ensure quality and reliable support for the educational and research activities and the overall operation of the University, b) Provide high-level services to all members of the academic community and external parties, c) Offer organizational and staff support, and actively participate in advancing the University’s mission and development.
