Το διεθνές μάρκετινγκ αναφέρεται στην ανάπτυξη ολοκληρωμένων και συντονισμένων δραστηριοτήτων μάρκετινγκ σε πολλές και διαφορετικές εθνικές αγορές. Είναι ο τομέας του μάρκετινγκ που προσεγγίζει τις αγορές υπό το πρίσμα της παγκοσμιοποίησης και της διεθνοποίησης. Αποτελεί ένα απαραίτητο εργαλείο για κάθε σύγχρονη επιχείρηση που επιθυμεί να είναι ανταγωνιστική σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, με σκοπό τη μακροχρόνια βιωσιμότητά της. Κατά τη διάρκεια των διαλέξεων παρουσιάζονται οι βασικοί ορισμοί του «Διεθνούς Μάρκετινγκ» και αναπτύσσεται μία σειρά επιχειρημάτων που φανερώνει τη σημασία που έχει το «Διεθνές Μάρκετινγκ» για την κατανόηση των διεθνών αγορών, για τη διαμόρφωση διεθνών στρατηγικών μάρκετινγκ και για τη οικονομική ανάπτυξη της Ελλάδας. Επιπλέον, μελετώνται οι στρατηγικές διεθνούς μάρκετινγκ που δύναται να υιοθετήσει μία επιχείρηση για να επιτύχει μία ομαλή και κερδοφόρα εισαγωγή σε αγορές του εξωτερικού. Οι φοιτητές μέσω της συμμετοχής τους στις διαλέξεις, αλλά και στην εργασία του μαθήματος θα εντρυφήσουν στις πολιτισμικές και οικονομικές διαφορές που χαρακτηρίζουν τα διαφορετικά έθνη και θα μάθουν να προσαρμόζουν αποτελεσματικά τις στρατηγικές μάρκετινγκ σε αυτές.
