Duration of the Programme

1. Duration: Three (3) academic semesters for the full-time MPS - it includes two (2) semesters of teaching and one (1) semester for the preparation of the postgraduate dissertation and the possibility of an internship.

The possibility of part-time study is provided for working students, and, in exceptional cases, for health or academic reasons - such as parallel study in another postgraduate or doctoral programme - for non-working students. The duration of the part-time study takes up twice the number of academic semesters, respectively. The redistribution of courses in the additional semesters of study and the modification of the course programme in the part-time programme is decided by the SIC.

2. The SIC may grant, in exceptional cases, leave of absence (suspension) for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months. This period is not included in the total duration of the study. After the end of the suspension of study, the student is obliged to attend all courses, seminars, internships, etc. in which he has not been successfully evaluated before the suspension of his studies. The postgraduate student, who receives a suspension of study, when he/she returns to his/her study, is still subject to the study status of the time of his/her enrollment as a postgraduate student.

3. The SIC may extend by one (1) year the time of preparation and submission of the postgraduate dissertation. The maximum time for the completion of studies and the submission of the postgraduate diploma dissertation, in the full-time study programme, may not exceed three (3) years from the registration of the postgraduate student. The maximum time for the completion of studies and the submission of the postgraduate diploma dissertation, in the part-time programme, cannot exceed five (5) years from the registration of the postgraduate student. The semesters of suspension of student status are not included in the maximum duration of regular study.

4. In the event that a student who is in the process of preparing his dissertation does not complete the programme for any reason and is deleted, it is possible to ask, within 5 years from the original registration, to re-join the programme upon conditions set by the SIC. In this case, the student pays, in addition, a fee equal to half the cost of the semester.
