Strategic Planning Committee
The Strategic Planning Committee, established by a decision of the Governing Board, consists of: a) the Rector, b) the Vice-Rectors, c) up to four (4) members of the Teaching Research Staff of the University holding the rank of Professor or Associate Professor, representing various academic disciplines offered within the University. The term of office of the Committee is four years and coinciding with the Rector’s term of office. The Executive Director of the University and the head of the Strategic Planning Unit attend the Committee meetings without voting rights.
The Committee is responsible for:
a) preparing a strategic plan proposal for the academic and research development of the University, in alignment with the National Strategy for Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, as well as European and international strategies in the field of higher education. This proposal is to be submitted to the Governing Board for approval, in accordance with Article 224,
b) evaluating development plans for the University's academic and research units, including digital transformation plans (Article 227), equal access for individuals with disabilities and special educational needs (Article 226), and viable and sustainable development (Article 228). Ensuring these plans are aligned with the University's strategic plan as outlined in Article 224,
c) preparing proposals for program design agreements under Article 15 of Law 4653/2020 (A' 12) and submitting them to the Governing Board for approval. The Committee will also cooperate with the National Authority for Higher Education and the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs during the implementation of these agreements, d) coordinating and monitoring the implementation process for: d.1) the strategic planning plan, d.2) the planning agreements under Article 15 of Law 4653/2020, and d.3) The annual objectives set by the University.
