    Το μάθημα αποτελεί θεμέλιο όλης της οικονομικής επιστήμης και ασχολείται με τη συμπεριφορά των καταναλωτών, των παραγωγών, των επιχειρήσεων και των κυβερνήσεων. Η ύλη του μαθήματος συμπεριλαμβάνει: θεωρία καταναλωτή – εισοδηματικός περιορισμός – προτιμήσεις, χρησιμότητα του καταναλωτή, επιλογή του καταναλωτή και ζήτηση, το αποτέλεσμα υποκατάστασης και το εισοδηματικό αποτέλεσμα, μέτρηση της ευημερίας του καταναλωτή, θεωρία παραγωγού – τεχνολογία και παραγωγή, κόστος, κέρδος, τέλειος ανταγωνισμός και μονοπώλιο
