Μετά την επιτυχή ολοκλήρωση του μαθήματος, οι φοιτητές θα είναι σε θέση:
• να διακρίνουν τους επιμέρους τομείς της Επιστήμης των Υπολογιστών, τη βασική τους ορολογία και τις σχέσεις μεταξύ τους
• να εξηγήσουν τη σχέση της Επιστήμης των Υπολογιστών με άλλους επιστημονικούς τομείς
• να αναλύσουν εφαρμογές πληροφορικής και συστήματα πληροφορικής με βάση τους τομείς της Επιστήμης των Υπολογιστών
• να εκτιμήσουν τις κοινωνικές και περιβαλλοντικές επιπτώσεις των εφαρμογών της Επιστήμης των Υπολογιστών
