MSc Law and Economics


The Interdepartmental MSc in Law and Economics is the first postgraduate program in Greece which was founded to encourage the study of the interdisciplinary area between Law and Economics. The program is jointly run by the School of Law of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Department of Economics of the University of Macedonia.

The program’s aim is to foster and promote scientific knowledge and research and to equip students with specialized knowledge in order to prepare them for a successful professional career.

The main objectives of the MSc are:

To provide high level postgraduate studies.
To train qualified graduates with a solid theoretical background in Economics and Law as well as to provide the ability to manage complex interdisciplinary practical problems falling within those fields.

To establish postgraduate students' self-confidence through the provision of specialized knowledge and the systematic practical training in the synthesis approach to the two subject areas.
To promote interdisciplinary research through teaching and discussion on complex economic and law research topics and to conduct master’s theses distinguished for their high quality.
To develop critical and research skills required for the pursuit of doctoral studies.
