The Technology Transfer and Innovation Unit aims to transfer to society the knowledge produced in cutting-edge fields within the institution, through the exploitation of research results and technology transfer, establishment and development of spin-offs and strengthening of the innovation capacities of researchers. The main responsibilities of the Technology Transfer Office are the transfer and economic exploitation of research results produced in the environment of University of Macedonia, the creation of innovative products and services for the benefit of the society and economy, the support of researchers in matters of accelerating innovation, open innovation and business processes (from the idea development up to introduction to the market), the creation of sustainable businesses – spin-offs and the dissemination of entrepreneurship among the community of University of Macedonia.
