The English Language Unit at the University of Macedonia offers English for Academic Purposes courses to the students of seven Departments:

the Department of Economics (4 core and 3 elective courses),

the Department of Business Administration (4 core courses),

the Department of Accounting and Finance (2 core and 2 elective courses),

the Department of Educational and Social Policy (4 core courses),

the Department of International and European Studies (4 core and 1 elective courses),

the Department of Applied Informatics (1 core and 1 elective courses) and

the Department of Music Art and Science (4 elective courses).

The CEFR level begins at B2 for first semester courses and leads up to C2.

Students whose level of competence is below B1 are provided English support courses involving remedial grammar teaching and academic vocabulary.
