Industrial Advisory Board of the Department of Applied Informatics, School of Information Sciences, University of Macedonia
The Department of Applied Informatics, School of Information Sciences, University of Macedonia has established an Industrial Advisory Board of the Department to facilitate its communication and cooperation with industry in Greece and abroad and achieve the goal of developing high-level graduates that the market demands.
The Board will provide our Department with information, insights and guidance on educational, professional and research issues, supplementing the information received by the Department from academic institutions and students. In addition, the Board is called upon to examine and evaluate changing market needs, propose action plans, address new technological and economic challenges, and support the achievement of the Department's objectives.
Indicative Responsibilities of the members of the Board
- Identifying the market’s changing needs and determination of the way these changes can be addressed by the Department of Applied Informatics
- Providing recommendations for the knowledge and skills that the Department should provide in its undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Promoting opportunities and cooperation at the level of research and transfer of knowledge and technology.
- Improving the reputation of the Department of Applied Informatics in the Greek and International academic and professional environment.
- Participating in the search for funding and scholarships for the Department and its actions.
- Providing assistance in the placement of students of the Department in internships.
- Participating in the meetings of the Industrial Advisory Board
