2nd CALL for Participation

Invitation for expressions of interest to participate in training course organized by the Erasmus+ project Back2Basics

The Back2Basic (B2B): “Bridging the gap between higher education and labor market by fostering digital skills” project (https://www.back2basicsproject.eu) is an Erasmus+ project (2021-1-PT01-KA220-HED-000023543) aiming at addressing the digital transformation in the HE system and bringing Higher Education (HE) systems and labor markets closer together, working in the enhancement of digital skills in the HE institutes in order to train more digitally prepared teachers and graduates. B2B partners include University of Aveiro (PT), Associação Bioliving (PT), University of Macedonia (GR), and Gab. Recolocación Industrial (SP).

Currently, the B2B partners are developing a training course for HE teachers that will capacitate them to better prepare their students in the digital society. They will organize a training course at the University of Aveiro during 3-6 July 2023. The training course will include subjects on information and media literacy, netiquette, cybersecurity, and wellbeing in the digital world.

This specific invitation concerns this training course and is addressed to six teaching staff from the University of Macedonia. They will need to attend the fourday training course and then apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their university courses during the fall semester 2023.

The invitation concerns 6 people, who must meet the following criteria:

• To be teaching staff at the University of Macedonia.

• Good knowledge of the English language, as the language of delivery of the workshop will be English. This knowledge will be certified according to the provisions of article 28 of the P.D. 50/2001 defined, as amended by the P.D. 116/2006 (Government Gazette 115 cl.A'/09.06.2006) and P.D. 146/2007 (Government Gazette 185 sq.A' /03.08.2007) and is valid today.

• Strong motivation to embed the acquired knowledge and skills in their regular university courses and share them with their students and peers.

• Participants selected through the above process, in order to participate in the training workshop must request permission from their department.
